“The biggest risk is not taking any risk. In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.”- Mark Zuckerberg
Today I was going out for a walk like I’ve been doing when this really (really), I say REALLY attractive gentleman asks me where the closest Publix was. Not being from around this area I try to answer the best I can and tell him where I think it is. We then get into a brief conversation where we talk about where we work. Which he works at Disney ironically and I told him how I was in the college program and decided to stay in Florida after it was over. He then tells me “that’s really risky.” And I nod my head fully agreeing with him.
My decision to stay down here instead of going back to Indiana was really risky, but I’m honestly so glad I choose to do that. I have learned so much in just these few amount of weeks and have also grown as a person. So even in that this experience has been worth it to me.
Things in my life are also starting to just fall into place. When I was so worried before. For example today I got my car finally registered which has been a long journey with it needing to be fixed and such. It just goes to show me that God is there taking care of me like he always has done.
Yes it’s extremely scary to take risks, but it is worth it. All the greatest people in the world have taken risks. They didn’t know for sure that everything would work out yet they still did it and it paid off in the end. You never know where life may take until you dare to be brave and take risks once in a while.
Now I’m not saying take bad risks like doing drugs or anything but move to that city you’ve always wanted to live in, go after your dream job, go out and talk to someone you don’t know (with cation of course), conquer your fears, be who you are even if it means losing people because you’re you ect. Take a chance on doing the things you want to do and being the person you want to be because that risk of doing that could lead you into exactly where you are meant to be. But you are never going to find that if you sit in your room being comfortable. You have to go out in the world and tackle it.
Now you may say “Amber what if I fail?” And my response to you would be “Wouldn’t you rather fail trying to do something you loved then to live your whole life doing stuff you didn’t want to do and then at the end of your life regret it?”
I say what are you waiting for? There is a huge world out there waiting for you. And the only thing that is standing in the way is you. Stop making excuses of why you can’t have something and just go after it. It’ll be worth it!!
