“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”- William W. Purkey
Today I wondered what I was going to write about in the blog then it hit me as I was dancing around my room to the “Lion King” soundtrack. I kept thinking how I’ve grown up and matured a lot just in this past month, yet I still have the spirit of a child. I love this about myself! No matter what I’ve gone through in my life I’ve always had this kid-like sense about myself.
Now I’m not saying don’t take on your adult responsibilities, but I also think you shouldn’t let those responsibilities control you. I’ve seen so many adults lose their kid essence about them, because they are all consumed with their adult problems. They forget to just be happy with the little things. They forget to laugh, sing, dance, and be goofy. I’m not ashamed when I say I will go out dancing in the rain and splash around in the puddles.
Just because we are “adults” doesn’t mean we can’t do kid like things. I honestly wish there was such as a thing as an adult park where there were slides and things. Why does there have to be an age limit on a thing like that?
I want you to ask yourself when was the last time you had fun? Especially fun by yourself. When was the last time you laughed? Like really laughed. When was the last time you just did something without caring what people thought of you?
I dare you to just go out and do one thing that makes you feel childish. Be a huge kid for once. Who cares if people are judging. They are going to judge you anyway. In fact I was in traffic the other day dancing and singing to music and a couple saw me and started to laugh. Did I care? No. Honestly they probably got a free comedy show just from that. So you, yes you just go out there and be that inner child I promise you won’t regret it.
Talk to you all tomorrow,
Amber (a.k.a flower girl) ❤️❤️❤️
