When I first start my weightloss journey more than a year ago I learned a lesson that changed from the other times I tried to lose weight and failed. I learned that weightloss is more of a mental than physical journey. They both go hand and hand. One without the other is just not good.
As I’m changing my mind I notice it is the same except backwards. When I start focusing on exercising and feeding my body the right stuff it helps me think better. The mental and physical things we do l have a toll on our life. It takes hard work and dedication to make these changes, but I promise you it’ll be worth it.
You may think you don’t have what it takes to make these changes, but if you look deeper you already have the strength to do it. You just have to make the decision whether you are going to do it or not. In all honesty the only reason most people aren’t living their dream lives is because they are lazy. I was and still am sometimes still in this category of “oh I’ll try this tomorrow.”
We all know this is one of the biggest lies that ever existed. Get up and just do it now. You don’t feel like it? Guess what no one does! If you wait until you feel like it that day will also never come. You think that person at the gym got those abs by just working on days that they just “felt like it”? Of course not!
The hardest part of any mental or physical change is just deciding to do it. There are people who have less resources and things than you do and they are living great lives. Just think what you could do if you decided to make that change. You could do all kinds of things. And the only thing that’s holding you back is you. Yes, you. Not your past, not your problems, not other people. You.
This may sound harsh, but it’s what we need to hear. This is finally what I had to tell myself to make any change in my life. It’s not what we want to hear, because we love placing the blame on other things. But when you place the responsibility for change in your own hands you will be surprised how the whole world around you will open up.
You create your own reality. And when you truly realize this is when your life will start happening. There’s a whole world out there for you to take advantage of. Just be strong enough to decide to make that change. You got this!
