“I no have education. I have inspiration. If I was educated, I would be a damn fool.” -Bob Marley
Some people have asked me how I’ve made it through some of the things in my life or how I did something. One of the biggest things was for me to find inspiration in no matter what I did. I found if I didn’t have inspiration I was more likely never to do that thing. However; when I got inspired by something it fueled me.
I have been fortunate enough to have had many people in my life to inspire me to be better. I got motivated to write this today, because I have recently met someone who really inspires me. This person inspires me to be the best version of myself and to keep pushing myself. It just goes to show someone can just show up in your life and make such a positive impact on your life.
Besides this person I’ve had others inspire me too. I’ve had teachers inspire my creativity. I’ve had family members inspire me to strive to do better. My cousin Lynn has always pushed me to do better and even though sometimes I’m like “AHH!!” I’m so grateful she’s like that with me. I’ve also mentioned in previous blogs how her sister Lori inspired me in so many ways. To be a free spirit. Which is one of the most inspiring things I have ever learned.
I’m also highly inspired by my sister who has such a positive attitude even though she has gone threw so much shit in her life. I won’t get into details about everything that has happened to my sister, but trust me she’s been through hell and still sees life like a child. Many might say it’s because she’s autistic and doesn’t understand, but my sister feels everything just as much if not more as most people. Yet she continues to be an optimist.
There are all kinds of people around you that could inspire you in some shape or form. It may not be obvious at first, but start taking notice of people more and you will see it I promise. Heck, you can even be inspired by animals. I have learned true love from animals. Because they love you regardless of anything. And that inspires me to love more deeply and without judgement.
I do however know that sometimes we don’t always have someone in our everyday life that can inspire us in certain things we want to do..that we look and go “wow they really inspire me to do x-y-z.” I know many people who have inspired me are people I don’t know personally. For example I read/ listen to many self help books. I don’t know the author personally, but their advice they give in their books really inspire me to do better. It’s amazing with all of the resources out there we can find this inspiration virtually everywhere. You can watch YouTube videos, you can get a self help book, biography/autobiography book of someone who inspires you, watch a movie, read articles. There are so many different ways that we can get inspired by others that’s quite remarkable.
So with this all being said I dare all of you to go out and find inspiration. Who knows it could have been right in front of your face this whole time? Go find it darlings. You deserve it!!
