“If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges.”-Pat Riley
I want to start this blog post with a question. How many times in your life have you freaked out or have gotten upset over something small? How many times have you felt mad because things didn’t go your way? I can be honest when I say my answer is too many times.
Today I was reminded that there are so many bigger problems going on out there when I’m just focused on all the little things. I found out when I got home today that someone I care about was in the hospital yesterday. I don’t want to say who because she doesn’t want it spread around. I’ve been told she is doing better but I’m still really concerned about her.
After hearing what happened to her made me think about all the small things I get upset over throughout the day. Mainly because of work to be honest haha. But regardless after hearing that it for one made me feel selfish that I didn’t know something had happened and two I felt mad at myself that I cared so much about the small things that I was too blinded to see a big thing.
I want to encourage you all today to not sweat over or get mad over the little things that happen to you. Remember there’s people out there dealing with so much worse and yet you feel like you had the worst life ever because your food was cold (I’ve never thought this but customers act like that sometimes haha). Instead of worrying and putting your energy towards something so small I dare you all to use it instead for the things that really matter. Use it to call your family to check how their doing. Use it to bake cookies for a friend who has the flu. Use it to work on things that would help your life out. Just stop using it on things that don’t even matter.
Well that’s all I got for today everyone. I know this post was super short but I think I still got my point across. Hopefully I did anyways haha I’ll try to write a longer post soon.
Until tomorrow beautiful people,
